  22. Welcome to Lexicon. This file details information on the game
  23. and how to get in contact with Nature Boy Software. For more
  24. detailed information on playing the game, see the Lexicon
  25. user's manual.

  29. 2.  SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  32. Lexicon requires the following:
  33. IBM PC and Compatibles
  34. Pentium processor or better
  35. Mouse
  36. VGA Compatible Display (640x480 resolution with 8-bit (256) color)
  37. 8MB RAM minimum, 16MB recommended
  38. Windows 95 (Windows NT not tested)
  39. Installed "Direct X" drivers
  40. Hard Drive with at least 8 MB free

  42. About Direct X drivers:
  43. This game requires Microsoft DirectX 5.0 or later. Direct X is a
  44. set of drivers (programs) for Windows 95 developed by Microsoft
  45. to improve performance and provide greater compatibility for new
  46. computer games and other software. If you do not already have 
  47. Direct X 5.0, you can obtain a copy from Microsoft's web site at:

  53. 3.  FILE INFORMATION

  56. LEXICON.EXE is the application you will run to play the game. A shortcut for
  57. it has been created in the program group you specified during installation.
  58.  
  59. During gameplay, Lexicon will create a high-scores file named "HIGH SCORES",
  60. as well as a new folder named "SavedGames" which will contain any games 
  61. saved during play. These items will not be removed from your system if you
  62. perform an uninstall, so they should be removed manually.

  64. A shortcut for uninstalling (removing) Lexicon from your hard drive is also 
  65. provided in your program group.
  66.  
  67. A shortcut for the Lexicon User's Manual is provided in your program group 
  68. as well. This manual contains all of the information you will need on how to 
  69. play Lexicon. This information is also available from within the game by 
  70. selecting the HELP button (rock) while in the main control screen (the pond 
  71. with the lily-pads).

  99. to ensure playability and compatibility to the user community. These updates
